Sunday 4th July 2010- Brewood World Cup Football Festival

Despite two of the Gazeebo`s being blown away at the start of the day and ending up in the skip we managed to pull it around - a great team effort. The weather apart from the wind was on our side with only a very light shower in the afternoon.

From what I saw the vast majority of the teams had a great day and went away happy having played on some of the best preparred pitches in the Midlands. On behalf of the committee I would like to thank Kevin Twigger and Mike Wingfield for the tireless effort they put in to getting the tournament off the ground - you can now have your lives back. Also a special note of thanks to all those people who helped both on the Saturday and Sunday including the Old Boys on the gate - again many thanks.

Former Brewood player scoops a cool £72,000 on Deal or No Deal

Caim Smalling scooped a cool £72,000 on Deal or No Deal. Cain was left with £250,000 and £5 however had he gone with his intended box, he would have netted just £5. Cain took the bankers offer in between his tears . Cain is pictured here with Noel Edmunds and his mom.

Cain played for Brewood from the age of 8 up to the age of 16 .
